Life and death are both filled with pain. The central question of What difference do it make? is how do we deal with that pain? Featuring stories of how Ron Hall came to grips with the death of his wife and father and how Denver Moore overcame the prejudice that colored so much of his life. Difference is a collection of stories that illustrate the power of love to overcome prejudice, hate, and even death.
The greatest praise I can give Difference is to admit to you that I have not read Same kind of different as me, but that I will be purchasing that book very soon. Ron Hall's recollections of life with an alcoholic father will ring very true for many as will the poignancy and honesty of his relationship with his father. There will be some who will be offended by some of Hall's memories and actions, but it is this very honesty that makes the message of forgiveness so powerful. Almost lost in Hall's powerful story are the equally powerful stories of those who are putting the message of same kind of different as me into practice.
This book will make you laugh, cry, and wonder what you can do for those in need, and that's the difference you can make.
